Haim Chanin Fine Arts is pleased to present Objects and Lenses – Reclaimed Focus, a fundraising exhibition featuring works by Colombian artist Genevieve Maquinay and photographers Isabelle Armand, Monica Ruzansky, and Thatcher Keats. The opening reception will take place at the gallery on Thursday, November 15, from 6 to 8 PM, and is to coincide with New York’s Latin American Cultural Week.

This exhibition presents side by side a selection of small-scale sculptures made from various found materials (woods, stones, rusted steel, organic pieces, etc.) and their pictorial interpretation by three photographers. This kaleidoscope of objects and images illustrates the multiplicity of perceptions and readings that an artwork can generate. The found materials, their recycling into sculptures, the creation of new images based on those objects create a chain that find its natural closure in their transformation into philanthropic commitment.

Education is an important chapter in this exhibition. Genevieve and art experts will conduct three guided tours, explaining the ideas, techniques and the incentive of sharing with aesthetic and social goals. Call the gallery to R.S.V.P.
